Tukwila, WA (August 23, 2026) – A motorcyclist was injured early on Saturday, August 22, on northbound SR 99 in Tukwila. The rider was traveling north when another vehicle struck the motorcycle near 14th Street.
The incident was reported at about 1:25 a.m. as two vehicles traveled north on SR 99 in one of two lanes. The other driver continued north after hitting the motorcycle, according to the initial report.
The motorcycle came to rest on the right shoulder and was totaled. The rider was taken to HMC with injuries and was wearing a USDOT-compliant helmet at the time.
The driver and vehicle that left the location remained unidentified. The report listed hit-and-run as the charge, while the roadway stayed blocked for about 3 hours and 47 minutes. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation as additional details are reviewed.
