Mankato, MN (September 14, 2026) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, September 12, at the intersection of southbound Highway 22 and Highway 83 in Mankato.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2018 Nissan Versa was traveling eastbound on Highway 83 when it collided with a southbound 2017 Chevrolet Traverse on Highway 22.
The 18-year-old driver of the Nissan, identified as Bo James Pozega of Waconia, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to MCHS Mankato. The 18-year-old Chevrolet driver, Alessanadra Marie Mersman of Mapleton, was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The roadway was dry at the time of the crash. Mankato police, Mankato Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
