Hollywood, MD (August 31, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident was reported on Saturday morning, August 29, near Tom Hodges Dr and Mervell Dean Rd in Hollywood.
Emergency units were dispatched around 11:15 a.m. after two vehicles were involved in the wreck. One vehicle remained in the roadway, while the other came to rest off the road.
Two people were evaluated at the scene. A 66-year-old woman was found to have hip and shoulder injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hangar at St. Mary’s County Regional Airport.
At about 12:10 p.m., Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 2 arrived. The woman was transferred to the helicopter and flown to UM Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment.
