Omaha, NE (July 23, 2026) – One person died following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of West Center Road and 222nd Street in Omaha.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, troopers were notified of the crash just after 2:45 p.m. on July 22. Investigators said a northbound Tesla Cybertruck collided with a westbound Nissan sedan in the intersection.
The driver of the Nissan suffered critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene for emergency medical treatment. Authorities later confirmed the driver died from those injuries. On the other side, the driver of the Tesla Cybertruck was not seriously injured.
Officials have not released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin. The Nebraska State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
