Accomack County, VA (August 25, 2026) – A woman died on Sunday morning, August 23, after two vehicles collided on northbound Route 13 near Gospel Temple Road in Accomack County.
Emergency units were called to the crash at about 8:37 a.m. A 2012 Mercedes-Benz C300 struck the front of a 2018 Dodge Journey, according to the initial report.
Jessica Rode Morris, 36, of Hallwood, Virginia, was driving the Dodge and was killed. Jacob Ishmal Adonis Kamara, 18, of Dover, Delaware, was driving the Mercedes.
Kamara and an adult female passenger in the Mercedes were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Kamara was charged with reckless driving.
The investigation into the accident’s cause remains underway, with additional details expected as the inquiry progresses.
