Newman, CA (August 25, 2026) – At least one person was injured on Sunday morning, August 23, in a front-end collision on State Route 33 near West Marshall Road, close to Newman, a small farming community in Stanislaus County. It happened around 6:48 a.m.
A white Ford Escape and a gold SUV were involved, according to initial reports. The impact occurred at an estimated 20 mph, and airbags deployed in at least one vehicle.
The southbound lane was blocked while crews responded, and two flatbed tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles.
The injuries were reported as minor. We hope for a full recovery for everyone involved.
