Stockton, CA (September 4, 2026) – One person was killed on Wednesday evening, September 2, in a head-on collision on East Mariposa Road near Jack Tone Road. It happened around 6:16 p.m., according to a witness.
A tan Dodge Dakota pickup towing a trailer collided with a black Honda CRV, according to initial reports. One person was found unresponsive at the scene.
Both lanes of the roadway were closed while crews responded. The Honda CRV sustained major front-end damage.
Fire crews and the medical examiner’s office responded, and evidence tow trucks were requested for both vehicles. The wreck remains under investigation.
