Florence, AZ (August 14, 2026) – One person was killed in a head-on crash on Wednesday, August 12, on State Route 79 between Florence and Catalina in Pinal County.
The crash happened near milepost 103 at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. A vehicle crossed the median and collided head-on with another vehicle.
One person died in the crash. Two other people were injured and were transported for medical treatment, according to information reported following the collision.
