What Investigators Review in Teen Driver Intersection Crashes
Crashes involving teen drivers at intersections are reviewed closely due to factors such as inexperience and decision-making at stop signs. Investigators typically examine whether the driver properly stopped, yielded the right of way, and assessed oncoming traffic before proceeding.
Visibility at the intersection, vehicle speed, and roadway layout are also important factors. Physical evidence such as vehicle damage points, skid marks, and final resting positions can help reconstruct how the collision occurred.
In multi-vehicle crashes involving multiple passengers, investigators also review injury patterns and seat positions to better understand how impact forces affected each occupant.
