Fond du Lac County, WI (June 21, 2026) – The Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon that led to one person being seriously injured and three juveniles being hurt in the Town of Auburn in Fond du Lac County.

The accident report stated the incident happened around 12:05 p.m. on June 19, at the intersection of County Highway V and Haven Drive. Officials responded after receiving a 911 call reporting a crash with injuries.

According to preliminary information, a 16-year-old Campbellsport resident was driving an SUV eastbound on Haven Drive. The vehicle reportedly stopped at a stop sign but failed to yield while crossing County Highway V and continued into the path of a northbound SUV. The second SUV was driven by a 55-year-old woman from Campbellsport, who was the sole occupant of her vehicle.

The two vehicles collided at the intersection, under circumstances under investigation. The teen driver and two juvenile passengers were transported to Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with minor injuries. The 55-year-old driver was taken to SSM Health in Fond du Lac with serious injuries. No additional information has been released as of the time of this report. Our thoughts are with those injured as they recover.

What Investigators Review in Teen Driver Intersection Crashes

Crashes involving teen drivers at intersections are reviewed closely due to factors such as inexperience and decision-making at stop signs. Investigators typically examine whether the driver properly stopped, yielded the right of way, and assessed oncoming traffic before proceeding.

Visibility at the intersection, vehicle speed, and roadway layout are also important factors. Physical evidence such as vehicle damage points, skid marks, and final resting positions can help reconstruct how the collision occurred.

In multi-vehicle crashes involving multiple passengers, investigators also review injury patterns and seat positions to better understand how impact forces affected each occupant.
