Northborough, MA (August 27, 2026) – An 11-year-old boy was hospitalized with injuries believed to be minor after his bicycle collided with a Northborough police cruiser on Tuesday, August 25.
The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and River Street, according to Police Chief Brian Griffin. A preliminary investigation found that the police cruiser was exiting a parking lot on Main Street when it collided with the bicycle.
Northborough Fire EMS transported the boy to an area hospital. The officer involved was also taken to an area hospital as a precaution. The Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the crash.
