Medford, MA (August 27, 2026) – A pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash early on Wednesday, August 26, at the intersection of Harvard Street and Winchester Street in Medford.
Police said officers responded about 10 minutes after the crash, which occurred around 5:20 a.m. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, the pedestrian was walking westbound on Harvard Street and crossing Winchester Street in a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan that was turning left from Harvard Street onto Winchester Street.
The driver fled the scene after the crash. Police are searching for the vehicle and asking witnesses, local residents, and businesses to provide any information or surveillance footage that could help identify it.
