Camden, NJ (September 2, 2026) – A 19-year-old Camden man was killed after being struck by a vehicle early on Tuesday morning, September 1, on Admiral Wilson Boulevard in Camden.
The crash happened around 12:51 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Admiral Wilson Boulevard near 16th Street. According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, the pedestrian had entered the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an off-duty Camden County Police Department officer. The officer remained at the scene following the crash.
The pedestrian was identified as 19-year-old Angel Saravia-Estrada of Camden. An on-duty Delaware River Port Authority Police Department officer also stopped at the scene and attempted to provide aid. Saravia-Estrada was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:17 a.m.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Response Investigation Team is handling the investigation, which remains active and ongoing. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been fully released.
