Clearwater, MN (August 18, 2026) – A Ford Edge and a Chrysler Pacifica collided on Monday afternoon at Highway 24 and Ash Street in Clearwater, Wright County.
The Ford was traveling eastbound on Ash Street, while the Chrysler was heading south on Highway 24. The roadway was dry when the vehicles collided.
The Ford driver, 19-year-old Kaylena Vargas McCalister of Crystal, was wearing a seat belt and was injured. She was taken to Saint Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ford passenger, 21-year-old Denon James Ellis Porter of Annandale, was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries. The Chrysler driver, 64-year-old Carrie Lynn Hannasch of Rice, also wore a seat belt and was not hurt.
Both vehicles had airbags deployed. Alcohol was not suspected for either driver. Investigators are still examining the circumstances surrounding the collision.
