Centreville, MD (August 18, 2026) – Three people were injured after a trash truck crashed and overturned in a cornfield near Centreville Road and Tanyard Road. The crash was reported on Monday morning, August 17, around 9:57 a.m. in the area of Tanyard Road and Hope Road.
The first arriving units found the truck overturned in the cornfield, but no one was trapped inside. Three patients required medical evaluation following the crash. Emergency crews requested additional assistance to remove fuel from the truck’s tanks. An aviation unit was also requested for a patient with possible serious injuries, and the patient was flown to Shock Trauma.
The available information does not identify the cause of the rollover or provide the final conditions of the other two patients. The incident remains under review.
