Why Head-On Collisions Are Fatal?
Head-on crashes are among the most severe types of motor vehicle collisions because the force of impact is concentrated directly between vehicles traveling in opposite directions. Even when occupants are properly restrained, these crashes frequently result in catastrophic or fatal injuries.
Investigators examining head-on collisions typically review roadway evidence, vehicle damage, witness statements, driver actions, and environmental conditions. In cases involving fatalities, specialized reconstruction teams may be called in to determine the precise sequence of events.
The findings from these investigations help authorities understand what caused the crash and may provide important information for future roadway safety efforts aimed at preventing similar tragedies.
