Winter Garden, FL (July 19, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a traffic accident early on Friday morning, July 17, along the southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike near mile marker 274, just before State Road 50 in Winter Garden.
The collision happened around 5:39 a.m. and involved a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. Emergency units arrived at the roadway, and both injured people were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The southbound lanes were temporarily blocked, leading to significant traffic delays for morning commuters before the roadway was fully reopened. Additional information about what led to the crash has not been released.
