Pelican Rapids, MN (July 5, 2026) – Emergency units were called to Pelican Lake north of Pelican Rapids on Friday, July 3, after two jet skis collided, leaving two women injured.
The accident was reported at about 4:32 p.m. One rider, a 19-year-old woman from Minneapolis, reported a possible back injury, while the other, a 20-year-old woman from Mound, suffered head and facial injuries. Both were taken to Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials said there is no suspicion that alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision. Additional details about how the crash occurred have not been released. Our thoughts are with those affected as they continue to recover.
