Chesapeake, VA (August 26, 2026) – Two drivers were seriously injured on Wednesday morning, August 26, after a pickup truck and a small SUV collided on Centerville Turnpike S.
Emergency units were called around 9:15 a.m. to the 100 block of Centerville Turnpike S. The pickup was traveling north while the SUV headed south when the vehicles collided near the center of the roadway.
The woman driving the SUV and the man behind the wheel of the pickup were both seriously injured. Both were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Centerville Turnpike S remained closed between Butts Station Road and Mount Pleasant Road as crews cleared debris and cleaned the roadway. The cause of the accident is still being examined as the inquiry continues.
