Arroyo Grande, CA (August 17, 2026) – Two vehicles collided on August 16 at the intersection of SR 1 and Willow Road around 11:32 a.m., leaving at least one person hurt. The vehicles included a blue Chevrolet and a silver sedan. Emergency units were called to the area after the two vehicles came to rest at the intersection.
The sedan sustained major damage to its left side and was about 20 feet off the roadway. A tow truck was requested because of the damage. Approximately 20 feet of wire fencing along the southbound right-hand side was also damaged.
Reports also indicated that the brush beneath the sedan caught fire. Additional callers reported that the sedan itself appeared to be burning, prompting a transfer of the fire-related call to a higher level for further assistance.
