Lancaster, CA (August 17, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision was reported on August 16 on southbound SR-14 near Rancho Vista Blvd in Lancaster, with injuries reported.
The collision involved a white Toyota sedan, an SUV, and two other vehicles. The vehicles blocked all southbound lanes after one vehicle spun out, while two black sedans were also reported blocking lanes. A witness reported major damage to one vehicle and requested medical assistance.
Emergency units were called to the area, and multiple tow trucks were requested as traffic backed up. Several vehicles later began making U-turns or traveling the wrong way along nearby freeway ramps and connectors to avoid the stopped traffic. Drivers were also reported using the Avenue N and Rancho Vista Blvd ramps to leave the freeway.
Traffic remained heavily affected as crews worked to clear the vehicles. The investigation into what led to the collision remains underway.
