Thousand Oaks, CA (July 19, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a multi-vehicle traffic accident reported on July 17 on northbound US-101 just north of Rancho Road in Thousand Oaks.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch information, the call came in around 2:30 p.m. Initial reports indicated that two vehicles had deployed airbags. Additional updates later suggested that three to four vehicles may have been involved. A white Kia was reportedly rear-ended by an unidentified vehicle, while a white Tesla came to rest on the right shoulder. Another vehicle was left in the center divider.
Emergency units arrived at the roadway, where at least one minivan was reported blocking traffic lanes. Tow services were requested, and crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles from the highway. No identities or additional information about those involved had been released at the time of publication, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation as more information becomes available.
