Howard County, MO (August 30, 2026) – Two drivers were injured on Friday afternoon, August 28, after a three-vehicle collision on US-40 near County Road 467. The wreck occurred at about 4:35 p.m.
According to the report, an 18-year-old man driving a 2012 Ford Fusion crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. He then swerved back into the westbound lane, where the Ford was struck by a 2026 Kenworth T880 traveling eastbound.
The Ford began spinning and was then struck by a 2021 Subaru Forester. The Ford came to rest in a ditch, while the Subaru stopped in the eastbound lane and the Kenworth came to rest in a field.
The Ford driver, from Edwards, was hurt and taken to University Hospital. The 63-year-old Subaru driver from Rocheport was also hurt and taken to the same hospital.
Emergency units assisted at the crash, and all three vehicles were removed from the roadway. The 44-year-old Kenworth driver from Linden, Tennessee, was not listed with an injury in the report. The investigation into what led to the accident remains underway.
