Louisville, KY (September 8, 2026) – Two people died, and another person was injured on September 6 after a motorcycle and a Kia Sorento collided near the intersection of Greenbelt Highway and Greenwood Road. The collision occurred around 6:15 near the intersection, according to the preliminary report.
The Kia was turning left from Greenbelt Highway onto Greenwood Road when it struck a motorcycle traveling northbound on Greenbelt Highway. The man and woman riding the motorcycle were ejected during the wreck.
Emergency units took the Kia driver and both motorcycle riders to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. Andrea Hill, 58, and Robert Smallwood, 62, both of Seymour, Indiana, later died at the hospital.
The Kia driver is expected to survive.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is still underway.
