What Happens After a Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash?
A fatal multi-vehicle crash may involve several factors that need to be examined. Investigators may review vehicle positions, damage patterns, roadway markings, traffic signals, and witness accounts to establish how the collision unfolded. Skid marks and debris can also provide clues about vehicle movements before impact.
Speed is another factor to consider when a crash involves vehicles traveling at high speeds. Investigators may consider available video footage, vehicle data, and physical evidence when determining the sequence of events. Roadway design, visibility, and lighting conditions can also be reviewed as part of the crash analysis.
