What Is Typically Reviewed After a Head-On Collision?
Head-on collisions can cause serious injuries because vehicles traveling in opposite directions meet with significant force. Investigators may examine vehicle damage, roadway conditions, photographs, and statements from people who witnessed the accident.
Medical records can also provide information about the types and severity of injuries. Vehicle safety features, seat belt use, and the position of occupants may be reviewed when determining how people were affected. Other records, such as traffic-camera footage or nearby surveillance video, may help establish what happened before the wreck. Weather and visibility can also be considered when those factors are relevant. These sources can help create a clearer account of how a head-on collision occurred and the harm that followed.
