Hershey, PA (August 13, 2026) – Two people were killed on Tuesday, August 11, after a crash near Hersheypark, according to the police.
The crash happened at about 9:53 a.m. on West Hersheypark Drive at Hockersville Road, next to the Giant Center. Police said a minivan was traveling west on West Hersheypark Drive when it turned left in front of an eastbound sedan.
The minivan’s driver died at the scene, while a passenger was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and later died. The driver of the sedan was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
West Hersheypark Drive was closed for several hours between Park Boulevard and Old West Chocolate Avenue while police and the Dauphin County Crash Reconstruction Team collected evidence. The roadway reopened shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday.
