Syracuse, NY (August 15, 2026) – Authorities responded to a crash at North Townsend Street and Erie Boulevard East on Friday morning, August 14, after a vehicle struck a marked Syracuse police car. Two officers were injured in the collision, which occurred shortly after 10 a.m.
Officials said the patrol car was on patrol when the other vehicle collided with it. Both officers were taken to University Hospital and are expected to be OK. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital and is also expected to be OK. Deputies are actively looking into the incident.
