What Should Drivers Know About Crashes Involving Large Trucks?
Large trucks can require more time and distance to stop because of their size and weight. Their larger blind spots can also make it harder for drivers to see nearby vehicles, particularly when traffic is moving around intersections or during lane changes.
Motorists should avoid lingering beside a truck and allow plenty of space when following or passing. Maintaining a safe following distance can provide additional time to react if traffic slows suddenly. Staying focused and checking surrounding traffic can also help reduce the risk of a collision.
