Kings Mountain, NC (July 27, 2026) – A 20-year-old Gastonia man died on Saturday evening, July 25, after an ATV crash in a construction zone on 799 Sara Lee Access Road, near the Cleveland and Gaston County line in Kings Mountain.
The crash happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. on a private access road used for recreational activities. Investigators said Damieon Keith Brinson swerved to avoid a patch of gravel and collided with a truck. Brinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said both vehicles were at the site for recreational use, and no other people were reported involved. The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash remain under investigation.
