West End, NC (July 27, 2026) – Two people were hurt on Sunday morning, July 26, after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hwy 15-501 and Campground Rd in West End.
The crash happened around 11:20 a.m. and involved a Dodge truck and a Subaru. Emergency units arrived to find both vehicles with heavy damage and debris blocking northbound traffic. The driver of the Dodge and the passenger of the Subaru were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to authorities, the Subaru remained in the intersection after pulling out from Campground Rd before the Dodge truck traveling northbound was unable to stop in time. Northbound traffic was detoured while the roadway was cleared. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
