Henry County, IA (August 8, 2026) – Three people were hospitalized on Thursday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 34 in Henry County.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 34 and Henry Des Moines Avenue. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Ford EcoSport was stopped at a stop sign before entering Highway 34, where it was struck broadside by a westbound Ford F-150.
An 81-year-old woman was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Two other people, ages 61 and 82, were also taken to nearby hospitals. A 26-year-old person suffered minor injuries but declined transportation to a hospital. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
