What to Know About Two-Vehicle Crashes
Two-vehicle crashes can happen when drivers turn, change lanes, follow too closely, or fail to see another vehicle. The severity of injuries can vary based on vehicle speed, direction of travel, and where the vehicles make contact.
Children involved in roadway collisions may require careful medical evaluation even when injuries are described as non-life-threatening. Medical professionals may assess them for injuries that are not immediately visible.
After a collision, traffic may be restricted while damaged vehicles are moved and the roadway is made safe. Drivers should slow down near affected areas and follow temporary traffic directions until all lanes are available again.
