Jersey City, NJ (June 11, 2026) – A woman and two children were injured after being struck by a tractor-trailer while crossing a roadway in Jersey City on Tuesday morning, June 10. The crash occurred at approximately 8:43 a.m. near Ocean Ave and Wilkinson Ave.
According to city officials, the tractor-trailer was stopped mid-block when the woman and two children began crossing in front of it. Officials stated that the traffic signal changed while the three pedestrians were crossing, and the vehicle struck them.
A crossing guard was present at the intersection and was actively assisting pedestrians at the time of the crash. Emergency units transported the woman and two children to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been released.
