St. Lo (August 30, 2026) – Three people were hurt after a chain-reaction accident on southbound I-270 just south of MO-370 in St. Louis. The wreck was reported at about 8:08 p.m. on August 28.
A 2006 Acura TL had become disabled and stopped in the third lane. A 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt then struck the rear of a 2011 Subaru Outback, sending the Subaru into the Acura. All three vehicles were damaged, with the Cobalt and Subaru listed as total losses.
The Subaru driver, a 32-year-old St. Louis woman, suffered minor injuries. A 33-year-old passenger from Fulton also sustained minor injuries. The 36-year-old St. Louis man driving the Acura was hurt more seriously. All three were taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by emergency units. The investigation into the cause of the collision remains underway.
