Santa Monica, CA (September 3, 2026) – Three people were injured after a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and a Mercedes on eastbound Interstate 10 just east of 20th Street in Santa Monica on Tuesday, September 1.
The crash was reported at approximately 5:06 p.m. A blue pickup truck and a white Mercedes were involved, and both vehicles caught fire after the collision. The vehicles were blocking lanes on the freeway, and fuel was reported to have spilled across the roadway.
Three patients were reported, including one person with major injuries and two with minor injuries. Fire crews responded to the scene, and tow services were requested for both vehicles. A SigAlert was issued as crews worked to clear the crash and debris, including melted tire material on the roadway.
