What Is Reviewed After a Two-Vehicle Intersection Crash?
After a crash at an intersection, investigators may examine the positions of the vehicles, roadway markings, traffic controls, and any physical evidence left behind. Damage to the vehicles, debris, and tire marks can help establish how the collision occurred.
Witness statements and roadway conditions may also provide valuable information during the investigation. If traffic closures were required, investigators may document how the crash affected surrounding roadways while emergency crews worked to clear the scene. These findings help create a clearer understanding of the events leading up to the collision.
