Yermo, CA (June 24, 2026) – Three people were killed, and several others were hurt following a rollover on northbound Interstate 15 near Calico Road on Monday, June 22.
According to reports, the Chevrolet Tahoe overturned into the center divider shortly before 1 p.m. on the northbound side of I-15 south of Calico Road. Early information indicated that all northbound lanes became blocked and that two occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency units arriving at the roadway found multiple people requiring treatment. A child was reported to have a head injury, and one person was lying in the roadway but was still breathing. Due to the seriousness of the injuries, two people were airlifted to trauma centers for additional care.
Records show three people died as a result of the rollover. The freeway was temporarily closed while crews worked in the median and along the travel lanes. Two French bulldogs that had been inside the Tahoe were safely recovered and were not reported as hurt. Investigators are continuing to examine the factors that led to the rollover and have not yet released additional findings.
