Brooklyn, NY (August 25, 2026) – Four people were taken to the hospital on Sunday morning, August 23, after a two-car crash on the Brooklyn-bound upper level of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. The collision happened at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Emergency crews responded to the bridge after the two vehicles collided near the center of the span. Four people were transported to hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
The collision and emergency response also led to lane closures in both directions near the middle of the bridge. Investigators continue reviewing the crash.
We hope all four injured people receive care and recover fully.
