Marshall, TX (September 7, 2026) – Emergency units arrived and began lifesaving measures on two adults and two children who were hurt in a major crash in Marshall that led to the arrest of one driver. The collision occurred around 5:39 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Grand Avenue.
Witnesses told responders that one of the drivers had left the scene on foot following the collision. Officers searched the area with help from community members and located the driver hiding underneath a nearby home. The man was identified as Gerardo Alfredo Flores Pacheco of Honduras and was taken into custody before being taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Pacheco was charged with four counts of intoxication assault, failure to stop and render aid, and resisting arrest. The incident remains under investigation, and additional details may be released as the case develops.
