What to Know About Two-Vehicle Crashes
Two-vehicle crashes can result from sudden changes in traffic, turning movements, driver inattention, or other roadway factors. Even collisions classified as minor can cause injuries that require medical evaluation, particularly when multiple occupants are involved.
Children riding in vehicles should be properly secured in age- and size-appropriate restraints. Drivers can also reduce the risk of serious collisions by staying focused on the roadway, maintaining a safe following distance, and adjusting speed for traffic and road conditions. Temporary lane closures after a crash can also create additional hazards for passing motorists.
