Atlanta, GA (September 6, 2026) – According to DeKalb County School District police, five Lakeside High School students were taken to hospitals on Friday morning, September 4, after a passenger vehicle struck their school bus in DeKalb County.
The crash happened around 8:48 a.m. at Fisher Trail and Briarcliff Road. The bus was carrying 30 students when the crash occurred. A passenger vehicle reportedly ran a red light and struck the bus. No serious injuries were reported at the scene. Five students were taken to nearby hospitals for further observation, while the remaining students were placed on another bus and taken to Lakeside High School.
