Bay City, MI (July 16, 2026) – A 7-year-old child was critically hurt after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Center Ave (M-25) and N. Monroe St in Bay City.
The pedestrian collision happened around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14. The child was taken to a local hospital, where the youngster remained in critical condition. An 11-year-old who was with the child received minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The police said two vehicles were involved, and both drivers are cooperating with the ongoing inquiry. Additional details about what led up to the collision were not immediately available. The cause of the crash continues to be examined as investigators work to determine what happened.
