Cass County, MO (August 10, 2026) – A 7-year-old boy riding a bicycle was seriously hurt on Saturday evening, August 8, when a Honda Fit struck him on Locust St just east of Armstrong St. The accident occurred at about 8:25 p.m.
The bicyclist entered the path of the eastbound Honda Fit before the vehicle struck him, according to the crash report. The boy was taken to Children’s Mercy for treatment.
The Honda Fit was a red 2009 model driven by a 38-year-old Harrisonville man. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the area after the crash. Emergency units assisted at the crash, and the investigation into what led to the collision remains underway.
