Belmont, NH (June 30, 2026) – A 7-year-old bicyclist was seriously hurt on Sunday afternoon after being struck by a pickup truck near the intersection of Ladd Hill Road and Silkwood Avenue in Belmont. The collision was reported at approximately 2:00 p.m. on June 28.
The child was taken to Concord Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, including a right foot injury and minor abrasions. The driver of the pickup, identified as 27-year-old Jeremy Sanborn of Belmont, was operating a 2022 Dodge Ram. He was not hurt.
Following the initial investigation, Sanborn was arrested on an alleged charge of driving under the influence. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, July 9, at 8:15 a.m. in the 4th Circuit Court – Laconia District Division. Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
