Irvine, CA (August 19, 2026) – A 78-year-old man was killed on Monday morning, August 17, when he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the street at Meadowood and Yale Avenue in Irvine. It happened around 10 a.m., according to police. The intersection sits in a residential part of Irvine, near several neighborhood parks and schools.
Jinshui Li, of Irvine, was crossing the street when the driver of a Chevrolet pickup struck him, police said. He died from his injuries.
The wreck remains under investigation, and no further details have been released.
