Columbus, OH (September 11, 2026) – A 79-year-old man died after an SUV struck him on Wednesday night, September 9, at the intersection of Morse Road and Maize Road. The incident occurred during heavy rain as he walked northbound across Morse Road outside a marked crosswalk.
The police identified the pedestrian as Mohammed Mofiz Uddin. He was struck by a silver Chevrolet Traverse traveling westbound on Morse Road and taken to a hospital, where he later died. The driver of the Traverse remained at the scene following the collision.
