Safety Tips for Highway Breakdowns
A flat tire can leave a vehicle in a dangerous position, especially on a busy highway. Drivers who experience trouble should move to a safer area when possible and use hazard lights to alert approaching traffic.
Motorists approaching a disabled vehicle should reduce speed and create as much space as possible. Staying alert can give drivers more time to react if a vehicle suddenly enters a travel lane.
Impaired driving can further increase the danger on busy roads by affecting judgment, reaction time, and vehicle control. Drivers should never operate a vehicle after consuming alcohol or using substances that can affect their ability to drive safely.
