Macon, GA (September 14, 2026) – A 9-year-old girl was killed on Saturday, September 12, after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing Log Cabin Drive near Gadson Drive in Macon.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. A 31-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Highlander when she struck the girl, identified as Ta’neyah Andrews, who was crossing the roadway.
The driver stopped and spoke with deputies who responded to the scene. Andrews was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later died from her injuries.
The pedestrian crash remained under investigation. Additional details about the circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately available.
