Livermore, CA (January 5, 2026) – A collision early Friday morning on Midway Road at Patterson Pass Road resulted in injuries and forced a temporary closure of both directions of the roadway in the rural outskirts of Livermore.
The crash occurred around 6:06 a.m. and involved a white Honda Pilot and another unspecified vehicle. Emergency responders from both Tracy Fire and Alameda County Fire were dispatched to the scene, along with California Highway Patrol units. Early reports indicated that at least one person sustained injuries.
Paramedics treated injured individuals at the scene, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The exact number of people hurt and the severity of their injuries have not yet been confirmed.
Due to the collision and vehicle positioning, authorities shut down both directions of Midway Rd for over an hour. Multiple tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the roadway.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP. Factors such as visibility, rural road conditions, and early-morning traffic may have played a role.
