The crash occurred on January 4, when a four-door minivan driven by an adult male was struck on the driver’s side while entering an intersection near the university. The man, who was wearing a seatbelt, self-extricated from the vehicle and reported chest pain following the impact.
Emergency crews from Engine 10 and Medic 18 responded to the scene, assessing both involved drivers. The injured man was transported to Mercy Hospital for further evaluation. The second driver declined medical transport and was treated on scene.
